Jack Straw is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for the constituency of Blackburn since 1979.

Mr. Straw served in the British Cabinet from 1997 to 2010 under the governments of Tony Blair and then Gordon Brown.   He served as Home Secretary from 1997 to 2001 and as Foreign Secretary from 2001 to 2006.   From 2007 to 2010 he served as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice.
