Peter Lilley has been a Member of Parliament since 1983. Mr. Lilley was a Cabinet Minister in the governments of Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and John Major, serving first as Trade and Industry Secretary and then as Social Security Secretary (1992 – 1997).
Mr. Lilley is Vice Chairman of Tethys Petroleum, a company based in the British Isles that operates exclusively in Central Asia. He is Vice-Chairman of the British-Kazakhstan All-Party Parliamentary Group.
