I am pleased to let our readers know that the Fourth Annual Meeting of the Advisory Council will take place at Cliveden House in Berkshire, UK, on the 20th and 21st November 2017.
Last year’s Meeting, also held at the beautiful family home of Lord Astor to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks, was deemed our most successful yet by attendees, among whom we were honoured to count H.R.H. Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, H.E. Peter Burian, EU Special Representative for Central Asia, and H.E. Erlan Idrissov, then Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Notably, it was the first ECFA Annual Meeting to take place over two days, allowing for extremely fruitful round-table discussions about Central Asia’s relationship with Europe among key figures from Her Majesty’s Government and leading UK businesses, think tanks and media organisations.
November’s Meeting promises to be more ambitious and rewarding still. We will be honoured by the presence of the Members of the ECFA Advisory Council and our much respected Chair, Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner, as well as distinguished guests from the spheres of industry, academia and media. Judging by the initial stages of preparation I can already say with some confidence that the event promises to be an exciting meeting of minds, in a beautiful and historic setting.
I will be sure to keep you informed of all developments as they unfold.
