Rauan Kenzhekhanuly, Director of the Eurasian Council on Foreign Affairs, was born in 1979 and graduated from Almaty State University in 2001.

He has served as the national coordinator of the Debate program in the National Debate Center of Kazakhstan, and worked as the economic observer of Habar Agency between 1998 and 2005.

From 2005 to 2006, he worked for the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Russia, firstly as Head of the Press Service and finally as First Secretary.

Mr. Kenzhekhanuly now acts as director of Bilim Media Group LLP, and is Chairman of the Board of trustees of “Wikibilim”, an organization dedicated to the development and promotion of online educational content in the Kazakh language. He was appointed Director of the Eurasian Council on Foreign Affairs in March 2014.
